Mardi Gras Ball Jewelry!✨

I’m going to a Mardi Gras Ball and I don’t know what to wear! Do I choose hoop earrings or studs? Do I wear a necklace or no necklace? Do I stack my jewelry? So many options!

It’s Grace with Designs by Grace Jewelry Co. and I’m here to help you! I always tell my customers that less is more when it comes to cocktail/ ball attire. You never want to take away from your dress. Here’s some tips to help you style yourself with Mardi Gras ball season! 

1. Choose gold or silver jewelry! Personally, I always lean towards gold. It makes everything pop! 
2. Look at your dress.. does it have a lot of sparkle? Is it plain? Is it colorful? What’s the neckline like? You want to base your jewels around this dress. 
3. I’d start with ears. Choose a nice, chunky, statement pair of earrings. NO HOOPS! Hoops are too casual unless they have some texture/ chunkiness to them. (Ex. Our Yves tube hoops). Currently trending are chunky stud earrings like pictured above. I would lean more into these styles as they pop but don’t take away from anything on the dress. 
4. Choose a bracelet. You really don’t have to overthink the bracelets.. you can even do a stack. But I recommend a bangle or cuff. 
5. Choose a ring or two. DO NOT overdo it with the rings. I prefer plain gold.. but any ring will do. 
6. Lastly.. depending on the neckline of your dress, choose your necklace. If you have a sweetheart dress, I would choose a plain chain or no necklace at all. Any other neckline, I wouldn’t choose any chain or necklace. The dress is all you need to pop.
